WAYNE Rooney took on Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton at arm wrestling — and WON.

The soccer ace went eyeball-to-eyeball with his boxer mate after his world title defence win.

Roo, 21, overpowered the unbeaten light-welterweight — and pocketed a £100 kitty.

And the Man United and England star celebrated by dancing round the room at the luxurious Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. A source said: “Ricky was feeling strong after weeks of training.

“But Wayne is a powerful lad and managed to beat his pal. It was a sight watching them gritting their teeth — neither wanted to lose.

“Rooney was dancing around afterwards while Ricky sat with his head in his hands. Wayne won’t let him forget this in a hurry.”

Wayne had carried Ricky’s title belt into the ring last Saturday before his demolition of Luis Castillo.
