Argentina top FIFA rankings for first time

PARIS (AFP) - Argentina have climbed to the top of the FIFA world football rankings for the first time courtesy of last month's 1-0 friendly win over France.
Argentina top the latest standings released on Wednesday with 1616 points from world champions Italy on 1592.
Brazil, who enjoyed a four-year tenure at the summit before being dislodged by the Italians last month, are sitting third on 1557 points ahead of France and Germany.
