Tom Cruise Buying Beckham Soccer Club?

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tom Cruise is contemplating the purchase of friend David Beckham's soccer club, The LA Galaxy. Beckham will be joining the Galaxy in the next few months, which is likely to reinvent Major League Soccer in the States.

A source said: "To have Tom's backing would be amazing - there's no way Galaxy bosses would turn down that opportunity."

Cruise sat in to watch Real Madrid's title-clinching match with Victoria Beckham. This was David Beckham's final game playing for Europe, at least for now. There is some speculation that a European team will try to lure Beckham back following a stellar performance this season.

David Beckham signed for Galaxy this January on a reported £128 million five-year deal although he doesn't start playing for them until next month.
