Nation's Best Wheelchair Tennis Players to Compete in Louisville

Louisville, KY. The top college wheelchair tennis players in the country will be competing for a national title this weekend in Louisville. The Collegiate Wheelchair National Championships, a United States Tennis Association, Kentucky (USTA Kentucky) and Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) event, is being hosted at the Bellarmine University Recreation Center Indoor Tennis Courts and begins on Saturday, March 17 at 1 p.m.

The Collegiate Wheelchair National Championships feature seven outstanding athletes representing three universities: Middle Tennessee State University, Louisiana State University and the University of Arizona. Athletes will compete in singles and doubles categories.

The weekend will kick off with an awards banquet for the players on Friday, March 16 at the Cardinal Hall of Fame Café.

USTA Kentucky Executive Director, Sharon Rahman said, "We are pleased to be hosting a tournament of this caliber in Kentucky. These are amazing athletes, the best in the country, and it should provide for an exciting tennis event for the entire community."
