Rooney loses £30k watch in sea

WAYNE Rooney had a holiday disaster — when his £30,000 watch fell in the sea.

The England ace put his watch and hire car keys in a washbag and left it on the side of his rented yacht while he went for a swim.

But during his dip the designer bag fell off and sank to the bottom of the Mediterranean.

Man United striker Roo, 21, and fiancée Coleen McLoughlin are holidaying in the South of France with pals, and splashed out £90,000 to hire the yacht.

A source said last night: “Wayne was absolutely sick about losing his bag. It had his hire car keys and a watch that cost him £30k inside. The hire car firm won’t be best pleased.

“Coleen said he was daft for leaving the bag lying around but his mates have been poking fun asking where he left his watch.”

The Sun revealed last month how Wayne and Coleen, 21, were spending £275,000 on a series of summer breaks.

Roo is due to spend a weekend in New York with rapper P Diddy after bidding £150,000 at a charity event.

Wayne and Coleen are then due to carry boxer Ricky Hatton’s belt into the ring at his world championship fight in Las Vegas on June 23.

They will finish their hols with a week in the Caribbean before Roo has to report back for training.
